Young Engineers Australia - Canberra

Young Engineers Australia Canberra (or YEA-C as they are often known) are a community of volunteers acting in an official capacity as ambassadors of Engineers Australia to early-career engineers across Canberra.

YEA-C exist to support these early career engineers in a number of ways; by communicating their ongoing changing needs to Engineers Australia, by organising or promoting events to support the professional and career development of these engineers, and by providing ongoing support and community to all who seek it.

YEA-C events are organised throughout the year to promote and develop the skills of engineers in a relaxed, friendly and enjoyable atmosphere.

Our most recent message from Nick:

We wake up in the morning, then have breakfast and get ready for work. Only now rather than travelling in a vehicle, walking or riding to work or a mix of the three, we may find ourselves working from the same table we had breakfast at.

For some, this time will be easy but for others much harder however most people will not show how they are feeling at all. During these unpredictable times, we need to ensure we look out for and engage with each other more than before.

Pick up the phone, message one another or even send a meme to brighten each other’s day.
