Elsevier-Engineers Australia Engineering Academic Challenge 2018

Nine engineering Student members joined virtual “Team EA” to take part in Elsevier’s Engineering Academic Challenge competition ran for 5 weeks in September-October this year. Out Team finished 5th overall competing with hundreds of students from more than 100 participating institutions from around the world.

Engineers Australia would like to congratulate Team EA’s top scorer, Mr Tenny Xie, engineering student from UNSW. Tenny achieved 4th spot overall competing with more than 460 STEM students in individual ranking. Another EA Student member, Thanh Nguyen also got in the top 10, finishing 6th overall.

The Engineering Academic Challenge is a problem-based competition built around 5 multi-disciplinary themes using Compendex and Knovel databases.
